Members visiting the above clubs must dress
accordingly, otherwise they will be refused
entry.

COMPETITIONS |
If you are the home player
or home team in a competition you must contact
your opponent by the contact date shown on the
monthly circular, and offer them THREE DATES not
all in the same week, not three of the same
days, and no weekends.
If arrangements are not agreed on the first
phone call your opponent must ring back within
THREE DAYS and accept one of the given dates.
Mondays and Thursdays must not be offered,
unless your opponent is not playing in the
league on those nights, unless by mutual
agreement.
All competitions must be at the home players
club, or away if agreed by both players. Not at
a neutral club.
ALL MATCHES MUST BE PLAYED
BY THE COMPLETION DATE AS SHOWN ON THE
COMPETITION SHEETS.
AS SOON AS YOU HAVE PLAYED YOUR MATCH OR ARE
CLAIMING IT YOU MUST INFORM THE MATCH SECRETARY
OF THE RESULT.
ANY RESULT NOT KNOWN BY MIDDAY ON THE DAY OF THE
MEETING WILL RESULT IN BOTH PLAYERS BEING
ELIMINATED FROM THE COMPETITION.

contact with your opponent, please ring Susan on
01406 373065.
If you change your telephone number during the
season, please inform Susan
on 01406 373065 especially if you are involved
in any competitions.

POSTPONING MATCHES |
If you postpone either a
snooker or billiards match you must ring the
opposing team captain by 1pm on the day of the
matche
and at the same time notify the match secretary
by phone or email, not by score sheet.
If postponing after this time you will be fined
2 points.
Failing to notify the match secretary of
postponement 1pt fine.
The
responsibility for re-arranging the match is
down to the postponing team. They must contact
the other team by the contact date shown on the
circular and ask the team captain for 3 dates
(not one) in which to play the match.
It is not allowed to offered 3 dates in the same
week, or 3 of the same days and no weekends,
Mondays or Thursdays must not be offered, unless
your opponent is not playing snooker or
billiards in the league on those nights, unless
by mutual agreement.
ALL MATCHES MUST BE PLAYED BY THE COMPLETION
DATE AS SHOWN ON THE MONTHLY CIRCULAR.

The
home team is responsible for all information on
the score sheet except for the away player's
names and their handicaps.
Will members please note that
all information listed below must
be included on score sheets:-

letter of both home and away teams

SNOOKER PAIRS |
Definitions
Striker
The person about to play
is the striker and remains so until the referee has
decided he/she has left the table at the end of play.
Four - Handed Snooker
Partners may confer
during a frame but not whilst one is the striker and at
the table. Nor after the first stroke of the strikers
turn until the break ends.
The Referee
The referee shall be the sole
judge of fair play and unfair play and be free to make a
decision in the interest of fair play for any situation
not covered adequately by a rule.
At the end of
a snooker game, the only time when the black ball comes
up is in the event of a level score and the need for a
re-spot.

We a
feel that it is an unfair advantage for players waiting
to play their game to be practicing on another table, so
from 7.30pm until you have played your match please do
not play or practice.
Spalding
Constitutional Club does not allow under 18s in.
The league is concerned
about some of the dress attire and to help with this
situation are banning baseball caps hats
whilst playing.
If you are not fielding a full team
you must inform the opposition team before the start of
the match so that they can change the order of play if
they wish.
